Haven't posted anything for a while because to be honest, I'd felt like shit about myself 🤷♀️ forced deload on weights, hormones, and peaking up to 145 on body weight had me questioning why I couldn't "get it together", tighten it up, be as tiny as I was. I've gained ~20lbs in the last year, and seeing the number on the scale has been hard to adapt to, I kept feeling like I was losing ground I had gained, "relapsing", as if the only measure of progress was to be lighter, and having moved back up the scale made me some kind of fraud or failure. I had to make these side by side pictures to prove to myself that numbers are not the villain here, the package I have built to 140 is not the same one I cut to 140 before. (I'm 5'4")That the girl who weighed 120lbs had a 500lb total versus the 740 I've accumulated now. These posts are always just markers for myself but if you've read this far and think my weightloss is any kind of "goals" just know it's imperfect, and it's hard, but you are never worth giving up on. Even when the work seems like depositing pennies in an empty ocean chuck every penny you fucking can every day you're alive and have the chance because you are the best investment you will ever make.
Injuries are a part of life for individuals who train as well as your average day person. Even when we try to avoid them, often enough they’ll still find their way into our life.

Avete mai pensato a quante energie perdiamo nella ricerca della perfezione? Vi siete mai chiesti poi, cosa davvero sia la perfezione? E' naturale, più otteniamo e più vorremmo ottenere da noi stessi, e sono certa che lungo il cammino probabilmente abbiamo superato da tempo il traguardo che ci eravamo messi in partenza, senza neanche renderci conto, senza neanche compiacerci con noi stessi. Spesso nella smania di ottenere sempre di più ci perdiamo il piacere delle piccole cose, e non abbiamo più soddisfazione per quello che stiamo facendo. Si finisce per inseguire una chimera e per non avere più piacere e soddisfazione per nulla.
Oggi, obbiettivamente, se mi guardo allo specchio trovo in me molti più difetti rispetto a qualche mese fa, quando a ridosso dalle gare,allo specchio la soddisfazione era alta, ma ho capito che non importano quei difetti, importa il modo in cui si portano, un dettaglio del nostro corpo è un difetto quando viene vissuto tale, oggi non inseguo nessun obbiettivo preciso, nessuno stereotipo, oggi mi alleno per piacere di farlo, mangio per avere energia e non patire la fame, oggi i miei 'difetti' pesano meno di quanto non pesassero (obbiettivamente) difetti inesistenti mesi fa, sottolineo che non critico il percorso di gara, faccio solo una riflessione su quanto cabia il peso che ha nella nostra mente, vivere una percorso per star bene con se stesse a 360° contro quello che può avere viverlo con il solo fine di raggiungere un determinato risultato fisico, oggi davanti a un difetto sorrido e trovo il modo per notarlo meno. Imparate a fare qualsiasi cosa prima di tutto, solo per star bene, il resto viene dopo e soprattutto se siete serene, viene da se!

I know I said I was done with this outfit but in my defense it was the gray one and I need it for a reference point. You see yourself everyday so sometimes it’s hard to determine whether or not you’re making progress . I started my fitness journey 2 months after my second son was born and after losing almost all of my baby weight, putting me back at 114 lbs. I know that’s small for my height I’ve always been small so no need to comment . I had the intention of gaining weight and muscle but mostly just being healthy. I’m so happy I started taking pictures right away because it shows me that it is possible to achieve your goals! I know I don’t have the biggest legs, butt , or biceps but I’m making progress and getting stronger and that’s enough for me . My chicken legs have come so far and I’m so proud of them swipe for the before pics
Romanian Deadlifts • third set x 12 reps 💪🔥 (Tips on form and general advice at the end)

The Romanian deadlift or “stiff/straight leg deadlift” is a deadlift variation that predominantly (key word 🗝) targets the hamstrings and glutes 🍑 unlike a conventional deadlift that targets your entire posterior chain (back half of your body) meaning they’re perfect for creating a lifted booty and sculpted legs 🦵😍
I would recommend getting yourself some lifting straps if you’re going to be doing a lot of grip work, as you can see I wasn’t wearing them in this and was struggling for grip in this last set 😅🤦🏻♀️
Remember to hinge (bend)at your hips with slightly bent knees, squeezing your glutes and hamstrings. Try focus on driving your hips forwards rather than bending into a conventional and driving up. 🤗 .
Try and keep your back in a neutral position and retract your shoulders (push back and down) while lifting the bar, the key word was PREDOMINANTLY hamstrings and glutes not only 🤷🏻♀️ your back gets a little workout too 💪 so don’t forget about it 😱 .

On se réveille chaque matin sans objectif ni dessein. Avec pour seule ambition que d’arriver à l’heure à un travail que l’on n’aime pas, pour se payer une vie de mirages et de mensonges que l’on degueule un peu plus chaque jour. « Vous avez des passions dans la vie? » « oui, la famille, me reposer, profiter quoi... ». Cette phrase entendue à la radio qui résonne et raisonne encore dans ma tête comme les cloches funestes d’une église.
On s’invente des mirages pour se donner l’illusion immonde et grotesque d’une vie remplie et satisfaisante.
Pourquoi vis-tu ? Es tu heureux là ? Si le diable venait serrer ta gorge à l’instant aurais tu des regrets ? On repousse à demain et à jamais nos bribes d’ambition que l’on se persuade être utopiques pour se rassurer et rester, amorphe et fade, dans notre vie poisseuse bercée de douceurs oniriques. « Tell me what you know about night terrors, nothing »
