Time to show off my newest achievements 😍👑
The Three Dark Crowns series is one of many book series that I discovered through bookstagram - I’ve seen loads of beautiful pictures and read so many positive reviews on these books, they just had to move in with my book family 📚❤️
Besides that, it’s been a really stressful and stirring day, I’m looking forward to cuddling up in my bed 😌
QOTD: Tell me what you’ve been up to today! (Not a question but 🤷🏻♀️)

What is a book or book series that you wish got more hype? For me it is undoubtedly Ink and Bone by @rachelcainewriter. I can't speak for the rest of the series as I have yet to continue but the first instalment to this fantastical/alternate history/dystopian YA series had me enthralled!
I was never not going to love a book with Library in the series name! This is set in a world where the Library rules in place of a government. By keeping the knowledge contained in books closely guarded, and only available for scholars and those deemed worthy, it can both impede and advance societal growth as it sees fit. Technology is stunted, business advancements are thwarted and the Library maintains a tight leash on its citizens. The all seeing and all powerful Library seems like an unbreakable patriarchal structure, but that might just be what they want you to think.
I adored this unique world and found its politics surrounding the spreading of information and knowledge to provide intriguing points for discussion and thought, within the book. It did take a little while for me to acquaint myself with the particulars of the political structure, but once I had done so I was mesmerised with the layers to this fascinating governing regime.
The authentic characters, the thrilling plot, and most especially this extraordinary world all combined to provide a leading example of YA dystopia done right!
《 #ResenhaCactus》Starting to Burn (+18) • @giselee.souza • @amazonbrasil • 5⭐
It’s so easy to identify yourself in your work . I came to realize three things that helps me to separate myself from what I do and hopefully it’ll help you too! Check out my latest blog post, ‘More than a label.’

Of course I've gotta show Nikolai some love! I am SO ready for the King of Scars release. He and the Darkling were my favorite characters in the Grisha trilogy and I was ridiculously happy when Leigh Bardugo announced that Nikolai was getting his own book!
What other side characters (outside Grishaverse) do you feel should get their own book(s)?

Such a frustratingly annoying protagonist, America Singer still can’t seem to figure out where her heart lies so she continues to lead both Prince Maxon and Aspen on... she isn’t sure she wants the prince, yet she doesn’t want anyone else to have him. She isn’t sure Aspen is the one, but jealousy strikes when he speaks to any of the remaining girls in the selection. Definitely not as good as the first book in this series, The Selection, this was much slower focusing on girls fighting over a guy for different reasons. Not much action, although I did keep waiting for things to crumble for America every time she crossed the line. With about 20% left, I was ready to be done, but Kiera Cass managed to drag me back in with that little left, so I will move along to the next book. #kieracass#theselectionseries#audiobooks#bookseries#readingbringsustogether#bookstagram#bookbattle#ilovetoread#readersofinstagram#readersareleaders#dystopianbooks#youngadultbooks#yaromance
Book Series 51 Information
There have been some questions and misconceptions about the 51 book series that I want to clear up.
1. The series is not about the normal Area 51 in Nevada. This scifi/action series involves an alternate Area 51 located at an isolated military in the Missouri Ozarks that is surrounded by national forest. For those who live in the area, you can guess which base I used as a reference. The story focuses around the county sheriff, her department, and her husband who is in charge of the secret program on the base unbeknownst to the sheriff. After an incident releases creatures that are housed on the base, everyone has to work together to contain the situation, recapture the creatures, and protect the citizens of the county.
2. The books are not about police corruption in any form. The members of the sheriff’s department are overworked and highly stressed by having to deal with creatures, monsters, and entities that should not exist while dealing with their regular duties.
3. The books are written for adults but are around a PG-13 rating. They do not have graphic violence, sexual content, or profanity. They do have some adult themes so let your kids read them at your discretions.
4. All books are available in print form through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and other retailers. Your favorite local bookstores can order them for you if you like. The series is available in e-book format through Amazon and book one, 51: The Beginning is also available on Google, iTunes, Kobo, Bookbub, and other e-book providers.
I hope this answers any questions you have. Feel free to contact me if you have further questions about the series.

I have been struggling to find my next read after so many fantastic mysteries/thrillers, so I was incredibly excited to find I had been approved for an e-arc of The Governess. I immediately downloaded and stayed up late into the night to finish. Independent women, family loyalty, and simmering, tension filled romance made for a divine read. As usual @christicaldwellauthor has written a smart historical romance with multidimensional characters. If you haven’t read any of her books, and enjoy romances that feature intelligent women, men who come to appreciate them for that, and relationships that develop overtime then you should definitely check them out! 📚
Thank you @netgalley and Montlake Romance for the opportunity to read and provide an honest review. The Governess comes out February 12th.
