Lots of people are posting about their best albums of 2018, but for me it was a largely year of bands I love releasing disappointing filler material.
Still, "The Hallowing of Heirdom" was the greatest thing music did last year, "Sacrament of Sin" is a modern classic in the waiting, and "Of Jupiter and Moons" wins my best breakthrough award, if I had one to give.
