  • Baby Wolves first Howling Lesson 🐺 Why do Wolves howl? According to Doug Smith, a researcher at Yellowstone National Park, there are three reasons a wolf howls: 1. To enunciate to nearby wolves that the territory in which they are howling on is theirs and they will protect it at all costs. 2. To locate other members of the pack while on a hunt. 3. And to simply be social. It is not yet known just exactly what they are communicating, but scientific research has concluded that they do so to converse with one another. • Comment your thoughts below πŸ‘‡πŸΌ READ MORE: Today, approximately 5,000 tigers exist in captivity in the United States alone. That’s almost 2,000 more than exist in the wild. While this looks tragic, poaching is widespread in Africa and have led to a dramatic decline in tiger populations, raising the question: What is the true solution to this problem? • What’s going on here? πŸ˜‚ Lions mating on the African Planes of Masai Mara. At the turn of the 20th century, about 1,000,000 lions roamed the plains of Africa. Today, only about 20,000 do so. That is a 95% drop in population in the span of 100 years, making mating under protection such as this incredibly important! Tag someone who should see this! Follow πŸ‘‰ @ourplanetdaily for more!
