  • ~ Liquid glass ~ It was an epic weekend of ocean photography with @shannonglasson at the @vagabondphotographic workshop. Really testing my skills now and learning that magic can still be created in less than perfect conditions! The last few months learning to shoot in the water has been such an amazing experience, I’ve met inspiring people, it’s brought new challenges, and opened a whole new world creatively. Couldn’t think of a better way to kick off the new year! Hope yours has got off to a good start too 💦 ~

  • ~ Focus hard on the things that matter, and never mind the things that don’t! Here’s to a new year of gentle ripples and bright sparkles! ~ It’s always a treat seeing these little sea sparkles come out of camera. One of the things I love about photography is that in so many ways it’s like a metaphor for life itself! Always look for the beauty in the seemingly ordinary, it’s there, sometimes you just need to look a little closer. Hope your New Year is an amazing one ✨ ~

  • ~ Oh Christmas Tree ~ wishing you all a bright and merry Christmas, and a new year filled with adventures! ✨ ~ This shot of a beautiful lone Norfolk Pine at my local beach, an iconic sight along the east coast of @Australia. It’s inspired by one of my favourite travel photographers Lisa @the_wanderinglens, using a clever technique to create a misty reflection on the lens. Hope you enjoy! ~ #whpmagical

  • ~ There’s something about that place where the sea meets the sky... the distant horizon, full of promises of what lay ahead. ~ I’ve always been drawn there, so it feels like a natural progression to learn to capture from the water. This was taken at last weeks ocean photography workshop with the legends @russelordphoto and @warrenkeelan, and the crew from @vagabondphotographic. It was the first time with my camera in a water housing, and these guys were amazing teachers, sharing a whole world of knowledge and inspiration! ~ And yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting the incredible @shannonglasson, I’m doing another ocean workshop with her in January. There’s one spot left, I’d love to hear from any Sydney or South Coast folk who might be keen to join me, details at @vagabondphotographic, link in bio! 💦⛅️

  • ~ Dusky skies and some misty magic ~ I’ve seen this view on the coal coast a thousand times, but never quite like this. Always up for trying something new, I’ve been playing around with creating reflections on the lens, after being inspired by the lovely and talented Lisa @the_wanderinglens. She has some stunning images using this technique, and she wrote a great tutorial on how to do it. Her blog is full of useful travel and photography resources too, I’ve linked it in my bio for you ~

  • ~ There’s moments when there’s nothing but the gradient of the sky and a tiny sliver of moon, and all you can do is stand, speechless, and gaze in awe. Waking up on the beach to a sunrise like this after sleeping under the stars, was one of those moments. A reminder that it’s often the smallest of details in the bigger picture, that leave a lasting impression 🌙 ~ From my recent trip to the Kimberley, on the remote northern tip of the Dampier Peninsula. Such a magical place. ~ For the @passionpassport #ppdetails challenge
